What is Adventure Club?

Adventure club is a program designed for children 3 years of age through 5th grade. Each year has a different theme that rotates every year. The first year consists of The Bible and the Trinity, the second year consists of Man, Sin, and Salvation, and the third year consists of Angels, the Church, and the end times. Your child will hear each theme once per age group, and when they move up, the cycle repeats. The Adventure Club is divided into three age groups: Trackers (ages 3-5), Scouts (ages 6-8), and Trailblazers (ages 9-11). Adventure focuses on not just memorizing the scripture, but learning the meaning behind it and how God works through His Word. Each group teaches the same lesson at different levels of comprehension, giving your children an opportunity to discuss what they have learned. For the 2025-2026 year, Adventure club will start on August 10!

What does Adventure Club look like?

Here at Hermitage, we plan to run Adventure club as a mix between VBS and AWANA. Adventure club will run on Sunday nights from 5:00-6:30 and will follow the school calendar. Each week will begin with an opening assembly that includes a song, prayer, scripture reading, and a pledge to the Bible. Following this, there will be a time for music, followed by the weekly lesson. After the lesson, the kids will have time for review, followed by games before dismissal. After a few weeks of learning a topic, there will be a review week that will solidify what your children have learned and give them the chance to earn trading pins that can be used to complete sets.
