Hermitage Food Pantry
The purpose of the Food pantry of Hermitage Baptist Church is to help meet the physical needs of those less fortunate in our community. Open weekly and supported completely by the donations of church members and the community. We serve around 80 families each month
Sacks of Love Ministry
The school district has identified hundreds of students, who are at risk of having no food when they go home each day. Hermitage, with Wateree Baptist Church, has adopted Camden Middle School, where we send food home each week to over 30 students during the school year.
Kershaw Baptist Association
Hermitage is a member of the Kershaw Baptist Association, partnering with other like-minded Baptist churches to reach our county and community for Christ.
Regional & National
South Carolina Baptist Convention
Hermitage is a member of the South Carolina Baptist Convention where we partner with churches across SC. Through the SCBC we support the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, Campus Ministries across public and private universities across the state, church planting, as well as two retirement homes.
The Nehemiah Center
Hermitage Baptist Church has a long-standing mission partnership with the Nehemiah Center of First Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. The Nehemiah Center ministers to inner-city children in Montgomery. Since 2005, a group of mission volunteers from Hermitage spent a week working with children at the center. The last two years we have partnered with the NAMB to go to Ashland, Kentucky. The group also helps with construction projects for local families associated with the Nehemiah ministry.
North American Mission Board
Through our offering, we help support the church efforts of NAMB, helping to plant Churches across the United States and Canada. For more information about church planting with NAMB, take a minute to explore the following website.
International
Samaritans Purse
Each year we pack and collect shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. These shoeboxes are a way for everyone to be involved in international missions, even those who cannot personally go.
International Missions Board
Through our regular offerings and special Christmas offerings for missions named after Southern Baptist missionary Lottie Moon, we help support missionaries around the world serving with the International Mission Board. It is exciting to help take the gospel to the unreached people groups through missionaries who have sacrificed it all to fulfill the Great Commission.
